Policies & Terms

We want everything about your memorial to be clear, compassionate, and beautifully made. These policies set expectations so your experience is smooth and your tribute is protected. By placing an order with Creative Monument LLC, you agree to the terms below.

Shipping & Delivery

We offer local delivery and installation, pickup from our shop, and freight shipping for out-of-area orders.

Local Delivery & Installation

  • The first 50 miles (one-way) from our shop are free.
  • Beyond 50 miles, delivery is $6 per additional mile (one-way).
  • Standard installation radius: up to 150 miles. Locations beyond this range will require a freight quote or special arrangement.
  • Distance is calculated using driving miles from our shop to the cemetery.

Freight Shipping

  • Freight pricing is quoted separately. Checkout will not display a freight price.
  • We’ll coordinate packaging and shipment to your destination and can assist with finding a local installer if needed.

Pickup

  • Pickup is available from our shop by appointment. Please verify cemetery rules regarding installation and foundation requirements before choosing pickup.
Cemeteries may have their own rules or fees (foundations, permits, setting schedules). Any such third-party fees are the customer’s responsibility.

Returns & Cancellations

Because each memorial is custom-made, returns are limited. Please read carefully.

Cancellations

  • If production has not started, cancellations are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
  • If any part of production has started, no refund will be provided.
  • “Production has started” includes any of the following: the stone has been ordered, cut, lettered, or customized in any way (including layout, stencil, sandblasting prep, or laser artwork setup).

Returns

  • Custom memorials are not eligible for return once produced.
  • If a product arrives damaged, notify us within 24 hours with photos so we can initiate a replacement with the carrier.

Compassion Credit Orders: If an order paid with Compassion Credits is cancelled, those credits are void and will not be reissued or refunded.


Lettering & Design Approval

Your approval protects accuracy. We will email a drawing for you to review and sign before production.

Your Responsibilities When Approving the Drawing

  • Confirm spelling, punctuation, dates, and layout are correct.
  • Indicate which direction the monument faces (e.g., toward the grave / away from the grave).
  • For memorials with two or more names, clearly specify who is on the left and who is on the right as seen from the front of the monument.
  • Sign and date the drawing approval form. Production will not begin until approval is received.

Please read carefully before signing. Once you approve the drawing, Creative Monument LLC cannot be held liable for errors that were present on the approved proof.

Note: Colors shown on screens or printouts may vary from the actual granite. Granite is a natural material and may include unique grain patterns.


Production & Lead Times

  • In-stock items are usually installed in local cemeteries within 8–16 weeks.
  • Items not currently in stock can take up to 8–10 months.
  • Lead times may be affected by weather, supplier delays, shipping schedules, or cemetery scheduling.

Privacy Choices

As described in our Privacy Policy, we collect personal information from your interactions with us and our website, including through cookies and similar technologies. We may also share this personal information with third parties, including advertising partners. We do this in order to show you ads on other websites that are more relevant to your interests and for other reasons outlined in our privacy policy.

Sharing of personal information for targeted advertising based on your interaction on different websites may be considered “sales”, “sharing”, or “targeted advertising” under certain U.S. state privacy laws. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of these activities. If you would like to exercise this opt-out right, please follow the instructions below.

If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal enabled, depending on where you are, we will treat this as a request to opt out of activity that may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or other uses that may be considered targeted advertising for the device and browser you used to visit our website.
